Sneak Preview - 48 Hours in Maui!
The Valley Isle - Maui!
As with any of the Hawaii‘ian Islands, the charm and incredibly varying landscape are astounding.
On my first visit to the Valley Isle, I unfortunately didn't have much opportunity to explore at all - less than 24 hours on island made it impossible.
As it turns out however, with 48 hours I'm suddenly unstoppable and jumped at the chance to tackle the World-famous Road to Hana!
This somewhat challenging drive was filled with some of the most breathtaking views - views that I couldn't quite enjoy as much as if I had been a passenger, but if you've ever been on this road, you'll understand the constantly high level attention required to navigate each of the apparently billons of curves that open the insanely narrow path up to the most incredible sight you've ever seen...that is, until the very next curve 50 feet ahead! What a drive!!
Note to the wise, be sure you have cash or you'll have to skip breakfast at the Barefoot Cafe at Hana Bay Beach Park.
Continuing hungrily long past sleepy Hana, the southern entrance to Haleakala National Park provides an opportunity to see the incredible bamboo forest and more the a couple towering waterfalls!
Here's a mini sneak preview of some of the sights and scenes of Maui.
Stay tuned for a few additions to the gallery from this quick 48 hour hop across to the Valley Isle!
Maybe on the next trip, I'll be able to share with you, the Seven Sacred Pools at O'heo!
